Treatment of the Lumbar Complex
 
Course Description

This class was designed to give the clinician a thorough and in-depth understanding of the Lumbar Spine Complex. It incorporates Muscle Energy Technique, Articular Mobilization, Myofascial Release and Stabilization Exercises to give you a multi-faceted approach that gives you all the tools to treat this area with confidence.

As with all of our manual therapy courses, this seminar will follow a a progression of principles and reinforce them throughout the 16 hours, is at least 75% hands-on lab, and will give the clinician hands-on skills they use immediately upon their return to the clinical setting.

  Course Objectives

   At the completion of this seminar, the participant will be able to:

   • Be able to demonstrate Lumbar Mobilization and the specific effects of MET versus direct     
     articulations.

   • Be able to demonstrate Myofascial Release for the tissues of the lumbar complex

    • Be able to demonstrate correct palpation, correct use of testing techniques, and correct   
      application of specific mobilizations and releases.

    • Be able to correlate multiple positive tests to ascertain a correct assessment of lumbar   
      dysfunction.

    • Be able to demonstrate the progression and proper application of a Lumbar Exercise and
      Stabilization program for patients with lumbar dysfunction.
